I absolutely love antique furniture & am so thrilled when I get the honor of working with special pieces!

A family heirloom for a great customer has been brought back to life with a little time and a lot of elbow grease.

The richness of this wood grain is almost breathtaking - such a beautiful, unique and very cool piece!

I first used my carbide scraper to gently take off as much of the original finish as possible, then stripped everything down and sanded with my power sanders and by hand. I repaired and filled a crack in the top and some loose joints in the drawers and sanded again. Then I used “Kona” stain to bring this back to the “original” finish my customer wanted, sprayed 2 coats satin polycrylic for a flawless protective finish, and conditioned the inside and outside of the drawers with citrus wood conditioner
I removed the Santa stickers from the mirror and was happy to be able to use the original handles & hardware after cleaning and polishing them back to life.
