Refinished Epoxy Top Dining Set with 6 Chairs
This dining set from 40 years ago is completely refinished & ready for a new home!
The original Formica tabletop was removed and my master carpenter built me a new one! It’s a beautiful pine table top stained in a 3 step wash of aged barrel, special walnut and true black. THEN I gave it a topcoat of 3 coats of clear epoxy cured and then sanded down and sealed to a matte/satin.
I used THREE coats of epoxy-which is like the same top you’d find on a bar top. 1 coat of epoxy = the same protection as 75 layers of polyurethane so with 3 coats that’s like 225 layers of polyurethane! This table top is connected to a custom skirt with proper support and legs that are removable for travel. It’s super sturdy and not at all wobbly.
The chairs were structurally improved and then refinished with 3 coats of enamel based true black semigloss paint in a sprayer. The seats were reupholstered with a really thick & durable vinyl fabric that looks a little like black 80’s acid washed jeans but feels like leather so super easy to wipe off!
The measurements are:
Table height: 29”
Table length: 60” (5 feet)
Table width: 36” (3 feet)
Each chair (6 total) is:
Floor to top of back: 35”
Floor to seat: 18”
Width of seat: 17”
Depth of seat: 19”
$600.00
Available to view & purchase from my booth “restore with Rachel” at the Neenah vintage mall. We can help with local delivery for a $25 fee to cover time & gas as well.
